He learned the art of photography in Larissa from his father Mimis Gousgounis and then went to Athens, where he later opened a photography studio in Cholargos. There he became known not only for his participation in erotic films, but also for his lines in them. His characteristic feature was that he always had his head shaved. Initially, he played in some films as an extra, or with a few lines, from 1952 to 1958 (Agni tou limaniou, The Aunt from Chicago, The Money, We Have a Life) and then starred in several erotic and detective films from 1965 to 1984, the best known of which are: He was worthy, Voyeurism, Sex...13 Beaufort etc. He has also acted in a play, but also on television, such as in Christ is crucified again on ERT (1975). Due to his fame, in 2010, at the age of 79, he again became the protagonist in an erotic film. On 6 May 2022, following his admission to Thriasio General Hospital of Elefsina, he died of cardiac arrest at the age of 91. His funeral was held on 9 May in Artemida.
