Overview

‘She was a good sleeper, rarely troubled by anything as confusing as a dream. But this one had a peculiar flavour. It’s just a pity that she didn’t remember it till much later.’

Tucked away in a remote corner of Wales, a research project into the furthest fringes of quantum physics is nearing completion. Unfortunately the scientists are playing with fire and are about to bring about the end of Time itself, and consequently the end of the universe as we know it.

The Gods (a coalition government these days) are unable to interfere under the terms and conditions of their own existence. They decide to send an envoy to the dream world, more commonly known as Astralia, to ask for help. The Astralians offer to send agents to our world, although when they arrive they usually have no recollection of why they were sent.

In the ‘real’ world, lead scientist Tom meets Lucy, the girl of his dreams. They fall in love, but do they really know who they are? As reality disintegrates, is there still time to save the universe? Is the answer always yes – and no? Written in a tongue-in-cheek style, A Stitch in Time explores the nature of reality and consciousness. This book will appeal to fans of fantasy novels, as well as those with a particular interest in quantum physics, contemporary arts and culture.
