His neighbors had all been massared! Edith, his fiance, newly arrived from the East, was taken captive. Canavan knew she'd be worked--and worse--until she dropped in her tracks! Was all the guilt his for breaking the code, for taking as his bride a beautiful young Indian woman? It no longer mattered. Canavan knew he had to free Edith somehow.
